Pure gold

I just visited Elizabeth Lawley's blog, mamamusings. Elizabeth writes about technology, academia and family. In a way, she and her husband Gerald are responsible for every blogpost I have ever written , since they pushed me (hard!) to begin. She has posted a favorite Robert Frost poem which I so love that I am putting it up here for you all. Thank you, Liz!

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature’s first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

—Robert Frost
